Our second community service project of this year took place on March 7, 2016. Students from P.A.I.S. went to help out at Fundacion Solidaridad (Solidarity Foundation). Fundacion Solidaridad helps children, teens and adults with a physical or neurological handicap, who are also of modest means, receive rehabilitation treatments at low cost. In 2016, Fundacion Solidaridad sought to create a corps of volunteers, willing to dedicate their time, energy and enthusiasm to the cause. We are proud to say that P.A.I.S students are in the vanguard of that effort.
Students from P.A.I.S. participated in the “Mision de Entrega y Educacion en Sillas de Ruedas” (the Mission to Provide Wheelchairs). This mission has as its goal the donation of 300 wheelchairs to patients with birth defects which affect their mobility. Twenty-five students from P.A.I.S. worked hard to assemble almost 200 of those chairs, which will reach those who need them on March 18, 2016.
We are extremely proud of our students who donated their time to this worthy cause. Not only have they helped those in need, but they exemplify the values and the spirit of our institution.
